In August 2020, SARS presented a Carbon Tax Roadshow. The presentation included the theory around the South African carbon tax, as well as specifically how it is implemented. Useful information contained includes, licensing requirements and procedures, carbon tax calculations and payment procedures. As well as, instruction for completion of the D180 Environmental Levy forms and instruction for submitting the carbon tax return. The presentation provides practical support for all steps of the carbon tax process and links to useful documents.
