ESG Intern/Analyst – Supporting Sustainable Growth through Strategic and Disclosure Expertise

We are seeking motivated, analytically strong candidates with 0 to 1 year of experience in ESG, specialising in GHG accounting and performance reporting. As an ESG Intern/Analyst, you will support and learn from our expert team in advising clients on ESG performance, sustainability reporting, and leveraging our innovative ESG Cloud Solution, EPCAM.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Holds a master’s degree in engineering, economics, or related fields.
- Has some experience in sustainability, either within consulting, research, or academic environments.
- Possesses a solid understanding of climate change, sustainability principles, and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions assessment.
- Demonstrates proactive problem-solving skills, teamwork, and a keen eye for detail.
- Excels in analysing data and communicating findings clearly and effectively.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with our experienced sustainability consultants to deepen your knowledge of ESG and GHG reporting.
- Assist in delivering consulting projects focused on ESG performance improvement and compliance.
- Support the implementation and testing of our ESG Cloud Solution, EPCAM, through data analysis and technical support.

Software Developer – Building and Enhancing a Leading-Edge Cloud Solution in the Forefront of improving Environmental Sustainability
We are looking for analytically strong candidates with a proficient programming background to join our team. The candidate will assist in the design of new and updated features of our EPCAM Cloud Solution. Our vision is to assist clients in automating climate-related disclosure and simplifying greenhouse gas and carbon tax reporting, which not only provides convenience but also incentivises greener and environmentally cleaner methods of production. By joining us in this role, the candidate would gain experience in full-stack development of our cloud solution and at the same time learn about environmental sustainability best practices assisting the world in the fight against climate change.
Candidates
You have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent. You have an understanding of HTML, PHP, JavaScript and SQL, or are willing to learn. You have a passion for coding and knowledge of good coding practices (indentation, naming conventions, commenting, etc). You have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent. You have an understanding of PHP, SQL, JavaScript, HTML and CSS, or are willing to learn. You have knowledge of good coding practices (indentation, naming conventions, commenting, code structure, version control, etc). You have hands-on experience with version control systems, for e ample Git and GitHub, and understand how to collaborate effectively using these tools. You are familiar with debugging and resolving issues to ensure functionality and reliability of features and systems. Sustainability Consulting Internship – Strategy, Carbon Finance and Disclosure
We are looking for an analytically strong candidate with no prior experience required to join our sustainability team at Brundtland. This 3 – 6 month internship, which depending on performance, could be followed up with a full-time offer to join our firm. Within our growing practice, we assist clients in developing and implementing sustainability strategies, carbon financing low-carbon initiatives and managing voluntary and compliance-driven ESG disclosures.
Candidates
You are a recent graduate or about to graduate with a Bachelor’s degree with honours or a Master’s degree in an engineering/environmental/economic discipline with a strong academic record. You have a good understanding of climate change mitigation and sustainability and are eager to further your professional career in these fields.

We are looking for analytically strong candidates with two to four years of experience in TCFD/ESG/CDP strategy development and reporting to join our team. The candidate will advise clients both in the private and public sector. Within our growing practice, we assist clients in developing and implementing sustainability strategies, managing sustainability performance and financing low-carbon initiatives.
Candidates
You have a masters in a technical or economic discipline and at least two to four years of experience in sustainability and TCFD/ESG/CDP specifically, either within consulting or the manufacturing industry. You have a good understanding of climate change and sustainability, and are experienced in assessing greenhouse gas emissions of projects and organisations.
You are pro-active, enjoy working in teams, have a good grip on numbers and can write about findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner. You are happy to commute to our offices in Rosebank.

You are pro-active, enjoy working in teams, have a good grip on numbers and enjoy computer programming in various languages such as visual basic, PHP and SQL. You are not a programmer per se, but you use your programming skills to automate processes and manage data in your daily work environment. You are happy to commute to our offices in Rosebank.
