Greenhouse Gas Benchmark Regulations – 19 June 2020

The GHG Benchmark Regulations pertain the Performance Allowance which can be deducted from the carbon tax if a tax payer performs better than the GHG intensity benchmark of the sector. The allowance is maximized at 5%. The regulation includes the assessment methodology and a list with sector benchmarks (Annexure A).
